Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1036 was officially chartered in March 2010 to serve the unique needs of Vietnam-era veterans living in The Villages and surrounding areas. From its earliest days, the chapter quickly grew to become the largest VVA chapter in Florida and is now the largest chapters in the nation.
Founded on the principles of service, remembrance, and fellowship, Chapter 1036 has continued to honor its mission: "Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another."
Chapter 1036 is a vibrant and active organization, offering:
Monthly meetings with educational programs and camaraderie
Fundraisers such as golf tournaments and pancake breakfasts
Color Guard appearances at local civic events
Support for honor flights, school visits, and veterans’ education
Volunteer work with food drives, memorial upkeep, and advocacy programs
Today, Chapter 1036 remains a beacon of support and pride for Vietnam veterans. Through memorial efforts, charitable outreach, and steadfast advocacy, our chapter ensures that the sacrifices and service of Vietnam veterans are never forgotten—and that we continue to serve our community with the same strength and dedication we brought to our country.
If you are a Vietnam-era veteran looking for a brotherhood that makes a difference, we welcome you to join us.
